Here's some pictures of my 'Lil
31, sporting one of your Rochester 3-deuce set-ups. The car
features a home-built frame and bed. I took a rusted-out piece of
a 31 Model A truck cab (basically, two barely-there doors, a cowl
and a back piece) and fabbed a new firewall, roof, floor and
all substructure. New patch panels were welded in all the way
around, including homemade inner-door pieces. Power comes from a
'65 283 Chevy with a mild cam, tri-power, vintage Corvette valve
covers and a Muncie M21 trans. A nine-inch Ford rear end was hung
on a triangulated 4-bar with Jag coil-overs and Radir slicks on
powder-coated steelies. 40's drums up front. The 4" chopped
grill shell features a grill fabbed by yours truly from 3/4"
strap and 3/16" steel rod. Everything that wasn't painted was
powder-coated in chrome-silver. All upholstery was done by
me. Metallic-purple was paint hosed on by a friend. It's driver.
